'You post your amazing trips but do not tag who is paying for'
A super hot guy was in a 5 stars hotel in Mykonos holding a champagne glass and pointing to the marvellous sea. Yes, he was with no doubts a Greek God, with his enigmatic smile and a perfect body boosting hundreds of likes per second in his photo. Surreal and speechless!
Rolling up the picture I saw something even more shocking, an unexpected dialogue:
__ You post your amazing trips but do not tag who is paying for.
__ Get out of my way faggot. Stay there with your shitty life cause your envy just make me more famous.
For many years the past generation suffered and fought for our rights, to gain some of the respect we have today in society and we know there is still a lot to fight for. So it is reallly sad when we see this type of inapropriatte behavior in the gay community: people attacking each other in social media, stupid gossips, disrespect to people's relationship, silly competition just for likes or extra attention. Prejudice is something unacceptable - at any kind. We have no idea how hard can be for someone to sell his own body in a desperate moment of life. The line between a stable person and a homeless is very tenuous. No one can predict the cards that life will offer us ...
... But some people take the bad cards, make a sudden movement, play high, hide it in the sleeves and ta-daaaa. The trick is done: they sleep on Tuesday in Madrid and wake up on Wednesday in Dubai. Luxury boys & the magic that only they do. The reality of what really happens in this incredible jet set life is hidden away, but what goes into social networking is a fantastic life enjoying a splendid happiness that only exists above the Equator line.
As if by magic, boys have already created their best strategies to get out of anonymity and join the clan of the most "successfull handsome guys", face the challenge of being attracted in gay community ,reinvent their bodies being close to perfection, be able to participate to the best circuit parties, drink exquisite drinks, taste a gastronomy of the most expensive restaurants of the world, check in at the 5 stars hotels, stretch the legs on cabins of an aircraft where everything indicates that the service will be first class. Everything just to become a Sex Symbol of Instagram, for a "fairer" life, leaving behind all the needs of a limited resources boy who used to count pennies to have something to eat at school, without the terror of being rejected, or excluded from the fabulous and select group of the highest level boys: the rich indeed.
DJ's, models, actors, party promoters, professionals of any type ... the list of guys who wants a piece of the cake is quite large. And most of them prefer to do the "dirty job" in a very discreet way, on the side, because they still care about their reputation. Everyone wants to be famous no matter what the price $200,00 dollars (underneath). And if you are good in Maths, not meths, do the calculation. You can get rich like this. But that does not happen to everyone, and you know why?
Because most of the guys start selling their bodies for the basic needs and when they realize they are gagged by the easy money that creates a pile of futile needs: it is the apartment in a valued area with easy access for customers, fancy clothes, imported fragances. At this point the person refuses to take a bus/subway, does not accep economy class flights, must attend the most anticipated parties of the year and show off: ass, class and broken glass. However, in a beautiful day - not to mention tragic - face the worst villain of all: drugs - and of all kinds. Sex becomes associated with narcotics, feelings just works if money is involved. Common relationships are no longer priorities, the person stumbles in his own personality, and they get lost. All that remains is an empty existence, a good psychologist to do some miracles and some of the cash that was acquired with lot of "hard work" to maintain an illusory financial stability, since the emotional went to space. "Is it worth it?
I do not know the answer, but that is none of my business either. I read somewhere that "spiritual evolution begins when each one takes care of one's own life." Our neighbor's choices should not interfere with our day-to-day lives. Each one of us knows about the magic we have to do to keep everything under control (the bills that keep coming, the job that never pays enough, a routine that has no time for almost anything). Each one has a cross to carry and, certainly, bigger concerns to solve instead of pointing the finger at the others.
We have to keep the strength and resignation to continue living and admiring life in the small details, in the small happiness that goes from waking up healthy to a voice message of those you love the most before going to bed. Inner peace, friends and a strong coffee is the real trick to keeping yourself armored, since handling a normal and sober life gives a lot of work. We need to have the patience to go through the difficult times without having to submit to do something that will harm us, that brings us risks and irreparable damages. We hope the Mykonos guy and the other one who made an unfortunate comment in the post can understand that they are just characters from this magical game called life - and despite the different lifestyle, both are trapped in the same system.

ResponderExcluirOMG this is the best way to dropp hints lmao.
ResponderExcluirThis is what life is about, you need to enjoy the small things in life. The moment when you forgot how to be happy with the small things is when you get lost. This will sounds so fucking stupid but today I was going with my bicycle on the street after job, feeling the air on my face and singing lol, feeling so good! I was feeling so lucky that Im able to appreciate life like that cuz there is people that doesnt. We are nobody to judge, we are here to love. Jose
ResponderExcluirThis should be published in a magazine. Everyone should have access to all those lines. Congratulations for your work and keep posting more articles in english and if possible also in spanish. You are the first gay writer to do that. You will rock.
ResponderExcluirDo you have any book published in english? I love the way you write and your perception about everything. Gregg.
ResponderExcluirWell written. I'm sure not everyone accepted those words in a good way. It's sad how some people are getting lost. This is an answer of how the were raised, the values they have got. Too sad that someone can believe that sell the own body won't have any emotional consequences in the future.
ResponderExcluirWell seems like you now a lot about this scene. Any experience?
